Tunnel Mountain Wedding in Banff | Alyssa & Richard

Alyssa and Richard’s wedding day in the Canadian Rockies was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments, stunning scenery, and a celebration filled with the people they love most. Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Banff and ending with a stylish reception in Canmore, their day felt both adventurous and incredibly personal.

A Ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir

Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, a gem in Banff that offers incredible views of the surrounding peaks and forest. It was the perfect setting for Alyssa and Richard to say their vows, surrounded by family, friends, and of course their adorable pup Basil.

Including Basil in their ceremony made the moment even more special. There’s something so meaningful about having your dog be part of your wedding day, and Basil happily soaked up all the attention while standing beside them as they became husband and wife.

The atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and full of emotion as the couple exchanged vows with the mountains standing quietly behind them.

Exploring Banff for Portraits

After the ceremony, we headed to Cascade Ponds  for portraits. This location is a favourite for a reason. With peaceful ponds, open meadows, and incredible views of Cascade Mountain, it offers the perfect variety of scenery for wedding photos.

Alyssa and Richard spent some quiet moments together walking along the water, taking it all in while the excitement of the day began to settle. The soft mountain light and calm surroundings made for such a beautiful backdrop as we captured portraits that truly reflected the joy they were feeling.

A Stylish Reception at Mainspace in Canmore

The celebration continued in nearby Mainspace, a venue known for its beautiful industrial design and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

With its high ceilings and chic aesthetic, Mainspace creates a really unique and stylish setting for a reception in the mountains. It was the perfect place for Alyssa and Richard to gather with their friends and family, share stories from the day, and celebrate into the evening.

Laughter, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing filled the space as everyone came together to celebrate the newlyweds.

Alyssa and Richard’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that the best days are the ones that feel true to you. From a mountain ceremony with their pup Basil to a stylish celebration in Canmore, every moment of their day reflected their love, their personalities, and the incredible place they chose to get married.
