There’s something undeniably magical about Banff at sunrise—but pair that golden light with a helicopter ride to a remote glacier and a love story like Esther and Dustin’s, and you’ve got a wedding day straight out of a dream.

Esther and Dustin traveled all the way from Georgia, USA, to elope in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We met bright and early at the heli base while it was still dark, the air filled with quiet excitement. As the blades started to spin and we lifted off into the early morning sky, it felt like we were leaving the world behind.

Once we touched down on the glacier, we found ourselves completely alone with the mountains—just the sound of the wind, and a horizon slowly coming to life. Esther and Dustin shared a first look on the mountaintop, and let me tell you..Dustin’s reaction was the kind every bride dreams of. Pure joy, pride, and awe. It was one of those moments that makes your heart ache in the best way.

Their ceremony began as the first light of the sun spilled over the peaks. The vows were intimate, heartfelt, and surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that only Banff can offer. After sealing it with a kiss, we celebrated with portraits in the alpine glow and, of course, a mountain-top champagne pop!

After flying back to the heli base, we hit the road and made our way to Peyto Lake. The iconic viewpoint gave us another stunning backdrop for more portraits, with glacier-fed turquoise waters and sweeping ridgelines.

Esther and Dustin’s day was filled with adventure, emotion, and awe-inspiring landscapes. It was the perfect reminder of why eloping in Banff is so special..no timelines, no crowds, just two people committing their lives to one another in the most breathtaking place imaginable.
